This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 10:30 AMβ10:30 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Rochester is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

UPDATE!!! Went on Thursday for the Tasha Pasta! Absolutely Amazing!!! I decided to try the salmon chunks again and did NOT regret it! The salmon was ON POINT! Definitely coming back next week!!! This might be my regular Thursday meal.

Although the staff was friendly and the wait time was appropriate for a Friday after work stop my fish wasn't great. I was happy to see catfish on the menu and the price was fair. The problem was the hard fried fish. At first glance it looked a bit dark, but passable. When arriving home a few minutes later I discovered the fish was fried hard all the way through. What a huge disappointment that was as I picked through and ate what I could. The fries were done nicely and the small cup of Mac salad was OK. Frying fish is a fine art and it's hard sometimes to remember that not all people like it purposefully "fried hard". I have seen other pictures on their reviews that show this isn't always the case here. I just wasn't one of the lucky ones. I would recommend biting your fish before leaving the proximity of the restaurant to avoid having to travel back.

I ordered the fish and shrimp combo. The fish was no flavor. The shrimp was over fried. The fries was the only thing good. The coleslaw I had was all hot because they put it in the container big chunks of coleslaw. Thereβs no love in the food package, tartar, sauce, package cocktail sauce. I seen it on the news. I was excited to try it out, disappointed

I came in today for the first time. The staff/owner was very welcoming. The customer service was impeccable, right when we walked in. The menu was clear and straightforward. But the food yβallβ¦ OMG!!! If you got a big back like me, go and get you some food from here. Iβve been around trying a lot food from Rochester but here? Right off the bat I knew the vibes were right. I got a catfish special with baked mac and cheese, dirty rice and baked beans and my boyfriend got the haddock special. Let me tell you, it tastes just like home. Also, donβt forget to get yβall something sweet. Their coconut and lemon cake, to die for. Go and give them your support! By the way, all next week theyβre having wings for $1.
